Black Abbey

St. Mary’s Cathedral

  • Situated on James’s Street, St. Mary’s Cathedral can be seen from various viewpoints all over Kilkenny city due to it’s impressive height and design. Building began in April 1843 and was finished fourteen years later, in 1857.
